February 2018 Newsletter
The campaign efforts for Marsy’s Law for Nevada kicked off the week of February 19th - uniting victims, law enforcement, civic leaders and advocacy...
The holiday season is upon us, and while we celebrate the festive time of family and friends, we also remember the less fortunate, those facing challenges of life, and those who have been victimized. Marsy’s Law for Nevada will put a spotlight on the victims of crime by securing a protected voice through the judicial process.
As we move into 2018 and the upcoming ballot question vote, we are proud to announce the addition of more civic leader endorsements including Henderson Mayor Debra March, Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen, Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly and District Attorney Angela Bello, along with the support of Lincoln County Commissioners Jared Brackenbury, Paul Donohue, Varlin Higbee and Nathan Katschke. We are also honored to announce that North Las Vegas is the first government entity in Nevada to see the support of Marsy’s Law from the entire City Council, Mayor and Police Chief.
Every endorsement from civic leaders, law enforcement, advocacy groups and citizens help spread the word about this important measure. Now, less than one year from the final vote on Marsy’s Law for Nevada, we ask all supporters to help make sure victims of crime receive the voice and consideration they deserve. We all deserve Marsy’s Law for Nevada. #VictimsRightsNV
